Hospitals, schools and retail chains often receive several deliveries a week, against different purchase orders. Their accounts team does not want a pile of small invoices; they want one invoice they can match to their orders and pay in one go. Building that by hand from several delivery notes is slow, and easy to get wrong.
The case
A medical supplies company delivers to a private hospital against two separate orders.
| Delivery note | Order | Delivered | SAR |
|---|---|---|---|
| A | Gloves | 200 boxes × 25 | 5,000 |
| B | Syringes | 50 cartons × 120 | 6,000 |
| Before VAT | 11,000 | ||
| VAT 15% | 1,650 | ||
| One invoice | 12,650 |
In alFatora, step by step
- Open either delivery note, B for example, and press Create invoice.
- alFatora lists the customer's other confirmed delivery notes that are not invoiced yet. Tick note A.

- Press Create the invoice. Both deliveries become lines on one invoice, each showing the order and delivery note it comes from.
- Check the invoice and issue it. Both delivery notes and both orders are marked as invoiced.

A discount agreed on one order stays with that order's lines; it is never applied to the other order.
What you gain
- The customer gets the single invoice they asked for, which speeds up payment.
- Each line traces back to its order and delivery, so their accounts team can match it quickly.
- No delivery is invoiced twice or left out.
Before you start
Switch on sales orders and delivery notes once, in Sales settings, the last entry of the Sell menu.
